The Beta

"In this work called The Beta, I use photographic prints in a contemporary line hang to explore the subject of climbing and the secrets it holds. Through this work, I aim to reveal the hidden aspects of a sport that is rapidly growing in popularity.I look beyond the surface level of what most people see, delving into the more intriguing and intense situations climbers may find themselves in . Although these scenes are captured in the safety of a climbing gym, they still encompass injuries, relationships, and more. To explore this, I observed small moments and scenes unfolding around the gym and captured them as they happened. From the details of someone’s hand recovering from an injury to moments of rest as climbers stand back, watch, and focus on what they’re climbing next."
